I was born and raised in the heart of Iowa. I love good home-cooked food, it is so comforting. In May I get anxious waiting for asparagus to come up. In June I go stir-crazy to get out to the strawberry patch to start making my Christmas jam. In July the green beans start getting sweet and ready to be picked. By August the raspberries are ripe and the sweetcorn is drenched in butter! The beef and pork are always excellent here in Iowa. We live in the land of the good and plenty and I love to cook with it.
